Encrypted, secure scanning without the complexity
AnyScan is built on SMTP with TLS encryption (SMTPS on port 465), protecting documents in transit using the scan-to-email function your MFP already has. Simply configure a new destination on your MFP. No inbound firewall rules, no custom servers.
High performance,
real-time delivery
With AnyScan, documents are streamed directly to your destination in 1 to 2 seconds. Most files appear in the cloud provider almost instantly, dramatically increasing productivity for end-users.
Scan a whole stack,
get separate documents
Put a black sheet (or a blank white sheet) between documents, load the stack in the feeder and scan once. AnyScan splits the batch at every separator sheet and delivers each part to the destination as its own file.
Granular security
and policy controls
Administrators can define exactly how scans are handled with advanced rules. Restrict by sender, destination, or file type, and configure policies to meet compliance and security requirements.
Direct scanning
into Windows environments
Not every workflow is cloud-native. AnyScan also supports direct scanning to Windows SMB file servers, with the same security, rules, and configuration controls.
- Scan to SMB and Windows shares via the AnyScan Windows Agent
- Pick destination folders with the visual folder browser
- Same policy rules and 1 to 2 second delivery as cloud destinations
How transport works
A scan leaves the MFP as an email and arrives in your folder seconds later. Here is the path it takes and what happens to it on the way.
1. The MFP emails the scan to AnyScan
Your device sends each scan over SMTP to its AnyScan address. The AnyScan mail service supports encrypted SMTP (SMTPS on port 465). Set your devices to send on port 465 with TLS turned on and every scan is encrypted in transit.
2. Your rules are applied
AnyScan checks the sender, the destination and the file type against the policies you set. Nothing outside those rules is delivered.
3. Delivered over an outbound connection
The scan goes to SharePoint, OneDrive or Google Drive over an encrypted connection, or to a Windows share through the AnyScan Agent on your network. No inbound ports, no VPN.
4. Held only as long as needed to deliver
AnyScan does not open, read or analyse the document beyond what delivery and your rules require. The scan is held only as long as needed to deliver it, including retries, and then deleted.
Requirements and compatibility

Any MFP that can scan to email
If your multifunction device can send a scan as an email, it works with AnyScan. No drivers, connectors or vendor-specific software.
Windows Agent for SMB
Cloud destinations need nothing on site. For Windows shares and file servers, the AnyScan Windows Agent delivers scans to the folder you choose.
What a destination is
A destination is one folder you scan into, such as the Invoices folder in your Finance SharePoint site. Every MFP and every member of staff can scan into it for US$35 per month. Finance, Reception and an archive share are three destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on how AnySoft works, what it costs, and how it fits your setup.
AnyScan is a cloud scanning service that takes scans from any network multifunction printer that can scan to email and delivers them to SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive or a Windows file server. No vendor-specific drivers, connectors or embedded apps are installed on the device: you add AnyScan as a scan destination on the MFP and it works.
A destination is one configured target folder, such as a SharePoint document library, a OneDrive folder, a Google Drive folder or an SMB share on a Windows server. Each destination costs US$35 per month, excluding tax, with unlimited scans and unlimited users; there are no per-page or per-user charges.
With encrypted SMTP. AnySoft's mail service supports SMTPS (implicit TLS) on port 465, so a scan is encrypted in transit when the device sends to that port with TLS turned on; set your devices to use it, because scans sent to port 25 are not encrypted between the device and AnySoft. From there AnyScan delivers the scan to the destination over an outbound-only, encrypted connection, after applying your per-destination rules on allowed senders and file types.
Scans usually appear in the destination within 1 to 2 seconds of leaving the scanner. There is no queue to refresh and no scheduled sync; every scan is processed and delivered in real time and shows in the live activity feed.
Yes. Put a black sheet (or a blank white sheet) between documents in the feeder, scan the whole stack once, and AnyScan splits it at each separator sheet and delivers each part as its own file. There is nothing to configure at the device: one scan job becomes one document per section in the destination.
AnyScan delivers to Windows SMB shares through the AnyScan Windows Agent as well as to SharePoint, OneDrive and Google Drive, so the same device can send scans to a cloud library for one team and an on-site file server for archiving. Users pick the destination at the scanner.
No. Every AnySoft product uses outbound-only connections from a lightweight agent, so there are no inbound firewall rules, no VPN and no print server or file server to maintain.
AnySoft is multi-tenant, so an MSP creates and manages a separate tenant for each client from the AnySoft Partner Centre, buys licences at partner pricing and allocates them per customer, and sees seat, user and activity reporting for every client. Printers, users and rules are managed in each client's own tenant portal.
